In a post addressing the backlash, Urvashi wrote, “So I’m trying to be Aishwarya Rai without any charisma? Aishwarya is truly iconic. But I’m not here to copy anyone. I’m more like her blueprint.” She added that her intention was to stand out, not blend in: “I know I’m not everyone’s favorite. I’m like champagne with fireworks. If anyone tries to measure it, then it’s dangerous.”
Urvashi emphasized that Cannes invites her for her uniqueness, and she strives to maintain that individuality. Despite repeated comparisons to Aishwarya Rai at Cannes in the past, she continues to defend her fashion choices and embrace her own style.
