Bangladesh national women’s football team forward Tohura Khatun has voiced strong confidence in her team’s chances against Indonesia, as the squad continues preparations for their upcoming FIFA international friendlies. Speaking from Amman, Jordan, Tohura said, “Our main goal is to win the match, and we’ll try our level best to give maximum effort.”
The match against Indonesia on May 31 will be Bangladesh’s first encounter with the side. The team is also scheduled to face host nation Jordan on July 3. Both matches are part of the official FIFA women’s international match window and serve as crucial preparation for the upcoming AFC Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers, where Bangladesh will compete against Myanmar, Bahrain, and Turkmenistan.
Assistant coach Mahbubur Rahman Litu reported that the players are fit, motivated, and adapting well to the conditions during training in Amman. He emphasized that the matches will offer valuable learning opportunities and hopes the team will deliver strong performances despite being ranked lower than their opponents on paper.
