Additional District Magistrate (Revenue) Hidayatullah Buledi was killed in a deadly shootout at his residence in Surab, Balochistan, as armed terrorists launched a violent rampage through the city on Friday. According to reports, dozens of attackers set fire to a police station, a paramilitary Levies post, and at least six government offices, while also looting a local bank and damaging law enforcement vehicles.
Buledi’s family was present during the attack. Government spokesman Shahid Rind confirmed the incident, blaming Indian-backed terrorists for the assault. A security operation is underway in response to the violence.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the attack, labeling it a cowardly act targeting civilians and government institutions. The incident marks another surge in terrorist violence across Pakistan, which has increasingly targeted security personnel and administrative officials.
