The Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) has announced a price hike for three essential commodities, effective immediately, according to a press release issued on Wednesday, May 21. The new prices are Tk 135 per liter for soybean oil, Tk 85 per kilogram for sugar, and Tk 80 per kilogram for lentils.
In preparation for Eid-ul-Azha, TCB is distributing these products through 690 sales centers nationwide. This includes 50 outlets in Dhaka, 20 in Chattogram, 10 in each of the six remaining divisional cities, and 10 in each of the other 56 district towns.
