Bangladesh openers Tanzid Hasan Tamim and Parvez Hossain Emon have achieved career-best positions in the ICC T20 batting rankings following their standout performances in an otherwise disappointing 3-0 series defeat to Pakistan.
Tanzid, who consistently scored 31, 33, and 42 across the three matches and ended as Bangladesh’s top scorer with 106 runs, has jumped 28 places to a career-high 53rd. Emon, after a poor start in the first two games, bounced back with a quickfire 66 off 34 balls in the final T20 and surged 28 places to break into the top 100 for the first time, reaching 95th.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Mohammad Haris reaped the most from the series, soaring 210 places to 30th in the T20 rankings after a blistering unbeaten 107 in the third match. He finished as the highest run-scorer of the series with 167 runs at a strike rate of 201.12 and was named Player of the Series.
Other notable climbers include Hasan Nawaz, who moved up 57 places to 45th after scoring 121 runs, and Salman Ali Agha, who jumped 42 places to 75th. In bowling, Abbas Afridi rose 18 spots to 19th, while Shadab Khan moved up 10 places to 14th in the T20 all-rounder rankings.
