The Meteorological Department has issued a storm warning for eight regions, forecasting gusty or squally winds at 45-60 kmph over Jessore, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, and Cox’s Bazar by noon today. River ports in these areas have been advised to display warning signal number 1.
Additionally, light to moderate rain or thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds are likely in many places across Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong, and Sylhet divisions, and at some locations in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, and Mymensingh divisions until 6 pm. Moderate to heavy rain is expected in parts of the country, with day and night temperatures remaining nearly unchanged.
