Renowned former ICC Elite Panel umpire Simon Taufel is set to lead umpire education in Bangladesh under a newly finalised three-year contract.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the development on Monday, marking a major step towards enhancing umpiring standards in the country.
“We’ve nearly finalised the agreement with Simon. He along with his team will work on educating our umpires,” said BCB President Aminul Islam Bulbul after the board’s 19th meeting at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.
