Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has always been known for his larger-than-life persona—both on and off screen. In a recent interview, directors Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru shared a humorous behind-the-scenes story from the filming of Lucky: No Time for Love (2005), revealing a lesser-known but unforgettable moment involving Khan and the film’s Russian crew.
Speaking to Hindi Rush, the directors recalled how Salman threw a party during the shoot, inviting everyone—including the Russian technical team. Despite being warned not to overindulge if they planned to work the next morning, the Russian team confidently claimed, “We are Russians. No one can outdrink us.”
What followed was an intense vodka showdown that lasted all night. According to the directors, many from the Russian crew ended up passed out—some even rolling down the stairs or collapsing on the floor. The next morning, most of them showed up to set with splitting headaches and low energy.
To their astonishment, Salman Khan arrived on time, in high spirits and completely unaffected. “He looked fresh, without a hint of hangover,” said director Radhika Rao. “Even the Russian crew was shocked and admitted defeat, saying they’d never seen anything like it.”
The incident has since become a legendary tale about Khan’s stamina and charisma—further solidifying his status as a Bollywood icon who defies expectations, both on-screen and off.
