Ruby Rose has alleged that Katy Perry sexually assaulted her at a nightclub in Melbourne nearly 20 years ago. Rose shared the claim on social media, describing an incident she says occurred when she was in her early 20s.
According to Rose, she had previously spoken about the situation in a less serious way but chose to come forward now after years of processing the experience. She stated that she initially kept the allegation private, in part due to personal and professional circumstances at the time.
Perry’s representatives have strongly denied the accusation, calling it “categorically false” and describing the claims as dangerous and misleading. They also noted that similar allegations made by Rose in the past have been disputed.
The situation has sparked online attention, though no legal action or further developments have been reported.
