Rajnath Singh Warns Pakistan Could Have Been Split Into Four if Navy Was Fully Involved

Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh issued a sharp warning to Pakistan during a speech aboard the warship INS Vikrant, stating that if circumstances had been different, India could have “cut Pakistan into four pieces.” Reflecting on the 1971 war that led to the creation of Bangladesh, Singh credited the Indian Navy’s role in splitting Pakistan and suggested an even more severe outcome was possible during the recent Operation Sindoor if the Navy had been fully engaged.

Singh praised the Indian Navy’s readiness and strategic deterrence, emphasizing its role in maintaining maritime dominance and dissuading Pakistani aggression. “Their presence alone broke the courage of the enemy,” he said, highlighting the Navy’s effectiveness during cross-border tensions following the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam.

The Defense Minister’s remarks come amid heightened military posturing between India and Pakistan, which culminated in a temporary ceasefire agreement on May 10 after international diplomatic intervention. Singh’s comments underscore India’s growing military assertiveness and its emphasis on bolstering naval power in regional defense strategy.
