A cattle market set up twice weekly on the busy Hasnabad-Natherpetua Road in Lakshmanpur Bazar, Manoharganj, Comilla, is causing severe disruptions for pedestrians, commuters, and local businesses. Traders and residents have voiced frustration over years of unchecked road occupation by cattle traders, citing traffic congestion, unsanitary conditions, and lost business. Despite having sufficient government land nearby, the market continues to spill over onto the road due to lack of regulation. Local traders have urged the administration to relocate the market. The Upazila Nirbahi Officer has acknowledged the issue and promised action after investigation.
