Over 11,000 More KNF Uniforms Seized in Chattogram; Second Major Recovery in Weeks

Police have seized 11,785 additional uniforms allegedly intended for the Kuki-Chin National Front (KNF), a separatist armed group operating in the Chittagong Hill Tracts. The seizure took place Monday night at a warehouse in Chattogram’s Nayahat area under Bayezid Bostami Police Station.

This marks the second significant haul in recent weeks. On May 17, law enforcement recovered 20,300 uniforms from Ringvo Apparels in the same area. That earlier seizure led to the arrest of three individuals, including the factory owner, and the filing of a case naming four accused.

According to case documents, the uniforms were part of a Tk 20 million contract initiated in March by KNF member Monghlasin Marma, alias ‘Mong.’ KNF allegedly provided the fabric, and the uniforms were due for delivery in May. The latest seizure underscores growing concerns about KNF’s covert logistics network and ongoing separatist activity.
