NASA astronaut Anil Menon will undertake his first space mission in June 2026 as a flight engineer and Expedition 75 crew member aboard the International Space Station. He will launch on Russia’s Soyuz MS-29 spacecraft alongside cosmonauts Pyotr Dubrov and Anna Kikina from Kazakhstan’s Baikonur Cosmodrome for an eight-month stay.
During the mission, Menon will conduct scientific research and technology demonstrations to prepare for future deep space exploration. Selected as an astronaut in 2021, Menon is an emergency medicine physician, mechanical engineer, Space Force colonel, and former SpaceX flight surgeon. His upcoming work will support NASA’s goals for Moon and Mars missions under the Artemis program and expand commercial opportunities in low Earth orbit.
