Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking at a rally in Alipurduar, West Bengal, strongly condemned Pakistan for its atrocities during Bangladesh’s 1971 Liberation War, highlighting the mass rapes and killings committed by the Pakistani army. He accused Pakistan of excelling in terrorism and massacres and vowed continued military retaliation against cross-border terror.
Referring to the Pahalgaon attack in Jammu and Kashmir, Modi praised the Indian Army’s robust response, stating that Operation Vermilion demonstrated India’s power and resolve. He warned that any future attacks would lead to severe consequences for the enemy.
Modi also criticized the West Bengal government, accusing Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of misgovernance and political theatrics. In response, Banerjee challenged Modi to a televised debate, accusing him of politicizing national security for election gains.
