Bangladesh allrounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz departed for Pakistan on Tuesday to join Lahore Qalandars in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL), where he will team up with fellow Bangladeshi star Shakib Al Hasan.
Miraz was granted a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to play in the league from May 22 to 25, as he was not included in Bangladesh’s squad for the T20 International series against UAE and Pakistan, making him available for PSL commitments.
Lahore Qalandars, having secured a spot in the Qualifiers with a recent 26-run win over Peshawar Zalmi, will face Karachi Kings in the Eliminator on Thursday in Lahore, where Miraz is expected to be available.
Earlier, Rishad Hossain and Nahid Rana also featured in the PSL before joining the national side for the UAE series.
In a minor hiccup ahead of his travel, Miraz arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport without his passport, which was later brought to him in time for his departure.
