Meg Matthews has denied rumours that she and ex-husband Noel Gallagher have rekindled their relationship.
Speculation arose after Meg shared a series of throwback photos on Instagram showing her and the Oasis star looking affectionate ahead of the band’s upcoming reunion tour. Fans interpreted the posts as hints of a romantic reunion, 24 years after their divorce.
Responding to a fan who commented, “So glad to see you guys are back together. Make a wonderful couple. Love like that never dies,” Meg firmly replied, “We are not back together.”
She clarified to other commenters that while they remain friends, there is no romantic reconciliation, adding that she plans to attend some of Oasis’ reunion shows.
Meg and Noel married in a secret Las Vegas ceremony in 1997 but divorced in 2001, eight months after welcoming their daughter Anaïs. Noel later married Sara MacDonald in 2011, with whom he shares two sons, but they split in 2023.
Noel and his brother Liam Gallagher are currently preparing for their highly anticipated Oasis reunion tour, starting at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on Friday, July 4.
