A man was brutally hacked to death, allegedly by his younger brother and sister-in-law, in the Chandgaon residential area of Chattogram city on Thursday.
The victim, Md Shahed, was a resident of Haji Mir Hossain Sawdagar’s house in Noapara village, Raozan upazila, and the son of the late Jalal Ahmed.
According to Officer-in-Charge Aftab Uddin of Chandgaon Police Station, the murder likely occurred on Wednesday night following a family dispute. Acting on a tip-off, police apprehended Shahed’s younger brother, Md Zahed (27), and his wife, Tasmin Binte Aslam Ohi (26), while they were attempting to flee with the body in an ambulance.
Both suspects are currently in custody as the investigation continues.
