Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) President Colonel (retd) Oli Ahmed paid a courtesy visit to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia at her Gulshan residence on Sunday evening.
Speaking to reporters around 8:30 PM in front of Khaleda Zia’s office, Oli Ahmed said, “I have a personal, family connection with her. From that standpoint, I came to see her and check on her health.”
He noted that Khaleda Zia recently returned home after receiving advanced medical treatment in London for four months, and he was eager to learn about her recovery.
“By the grace of Allah, she is doing well. I pray for her continued health and strength,” the LDP chief added.
This meeting marks Khaleda Zia’s first interaction with a senior political leader outside the BNP since her return to Dhaka on May 6.
