Former U.S. President Joe Biden expressed confidence about his health and future following a diagnosis of an aggressive form of prostate cancer. Speaking to reporters on May 31, Biden said he feels “good” and optimistic, noting that the cancer hasn’t spread to any organs and that his bones remain strong.
“The prognosis is good. It hasn’t penetrated. So, I feel good,” said the 82-year-old Democrat during a Memorial Day event. Biden added that he is working with one of the world’s top surgeons and has finalized his treatment plan.
Biden’s health had been a significant concern during the 2024 U.S. election, which he ultimately exited following a poor debate performance. Despite initial reports that the cancer had spread to his bones, Biden and his team now maintain a hopeful outlook as treatment progresses.
