Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has announced an emergency press conference to be held on Tuesday, May 27, at 12 noon at the Zahur Hossain Chowdhury Hall of the National Press Club. The party’s Ameer, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, is expected to deliver a key address in light of the country’s ongoing political developments.
The announcement was confirmed by Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General and head of media, Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair. The press conference follows a recent meeting between Dr. Shafiqur Rahman and Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus, during which Jamaat emphasized the need for meaningful reforms and a clear roadmap to ensure free and fair elections. Party leaders believe that clarity on reforms and election plans will help resolve widespread public uncertainty.
