Iran’s Army Chief of Staff, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, has issued a strong warning to Israel, stating that the Islamic Republic is fully prepared to launch another major military operation similar to last year’s “True Promise” strike if provoked. Speaking at a press conference on Monday, May 26, Mousavi responded to recent statements by Israeli officials, asserting that Israel is too weak to challenge Iran’s power.
He warned that any “foolish” move by the Israeli government could trigger a devastating Iranian response. Mousavi referenced the 2023 “True Promise” operation, in which Iran fired hundreds of missiles and drones at Israeli targets, showcasing its ability to strike key military and intelligence facilities with precision.
Calling the Netanyahu administration “child-killing” and reckless, Mousavi emphasized Iran’s readiness to deliver a “fitting blow” if necessary, reaffirming the country’s strategic posture amid rising regional tensions.
