Planning Advisor Dr. Wahiduddin Mahmud stated that the interim government has no scope to initiate new development projects, as it is already burdened with numerous ongoing initiatives—both essential and non-essential—launched by the previous administration. He made the remarks during a seminar on “Bangladesh Economic Corridor and Logistics Development: Investment Opportunities” held in Dhaka on Monday, May 26.
Dr. Mahmud emphasized the importance of focusing on infrastructure projects that positively impact trade and commerce. Other speakers at the seminar highlighted the need to diversify the economy by boosting sectors such as leather and information technology alongside the garment industry.
