Indian BSF Pushes 22 More Bangladeshis Across Rema Border in Habiganj

Indian Border Security Force (BSF) pushed 22 Bangladeshi nationals—including 9 men, 8 women, and 5 children—into Bangladesh through the Rema border of Chunarughat upazila in Habiganj during the night. The incident took place at Debrabari under the jurisdiction of the Habiganj Battalion (55 BGB).

Upon receiving information, a patrol team from Kalenga BOP quickly arrived and detained the group. A preliminary investigation confirmed all were Bangladeshi citizens from Kurigram district’s Ulipur and Fulbari upazilas.

Kalenga BOP Commander Naik Subedar Syed Jasim Uddin confirmed the arrests. This incident follows a similar one on May 26, when 19 Bangladeshis were pushed in through the same area.
