The annual Hajj pilgrimage officially begins today, Wednesday (June 4), following the sighting of the Zilhaj moon, as confirmed by Saudi Arabia’s Supreme Court. Pilgrims will enter the state of Ihram and travel to Mina, marking the start of the sacred rituals.
On Thursday, June 5, pilgrims will observe Yawme Arafa (Day of Arafah), one of the most spiritually significant days of the Islamic calendar.
In Mina, pilgrims will engage in continuous worship, including Talbiyah, Dhikr, and recitation of the Quran. It is Sunnah to arrive in Mina before the Zuhr prayer on the 8th of Zilhaj and to pray five times daily while spending the night there.
Air-conditioned tents with designated numbers have been arranged for pilgrims, with meals provided by their respective Hajj agencies. Worshippers are encouraged to remain focused on prayer and avoid idle conversation during this sacred time.
