Celebrated writer Gultekin Khan, known for her impactful work in poetry, translation, novels, and screenwriting, will appear alongside her son, acclaimed director Nuhash Humayun, in a special Eid episode of Maasranga Television’s morning show Ranga Sakal. This marks the first time the mother-son duo will be seen together in an extended two-hour televised conversation.
Gultekin’s literary journey began with the well-received poetry collection Ajo, Keu Hate Abiraam in 2016, followed by several praised works including translated poetry collections, a poetic drama, and her novel Chowkath. Her screenwriting in Nuhash’s award-winning web series 2 श has also earned her recognition.
Now a proud member of the Writers Guild of America, Gultekin and her son—usually abroad during Eid—will celebrate the festival together in Bangladesh this year. In the special Ranga Sakal episode, they open up about their personal stories, family bonds, and behind-the-scenes moments from their creative lives.
Hosted by Rumman Rashid Khan and Labanya, and produced by Jobair Iqbal, the Eid special will air from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on June 8, the day after Eid, offering viewers an intimate and heartfelt look into the lives of two of Bangladesh’s most beloved cultural figures.
