Gold Prices Rise as New Fiscal Year Begins, BAJUS Announces Tk 1,890 Hike per Bhori

The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has announced an increase in gold prices effective July 2, marking the start of the 2025–26 fiscal year. The price of 22-carat gold has risen by Tk 1,890 per bhori to Tk 172,126 from Tk 170,236, driven by higher refined gold costs in the local market. Prices of other categories were also revised, with 21-carat gold now at Tk 164,299, 18-carat at Tk 140,831, and traditionally processed gold at Tk 116,488 per bhori. Silver prices remain unchanged despite the gold hike, reflecting stable market conditions for the metal.
