Workers of AB Apparels staged a road blockade on the Hemayetpur-Singair regional road in Savar’s Tetuljhora union on Monday, demanding payment of two months’ unpaid wages. The protest, which began in the morning, disrupted local traffic until factory authorities assured workers their April salaries would be paid the same day, with May salaries and Eid bonuses to follow before the holiday.
Police and Army personnel, including Industrial Police officials, intervened to manage the situation. Following successful negotiations, the workers lifted the blockade, confirmed Ashulia Industrial Police-1 SP Mohammad Mominul Islam Bhuiyan.
