The body of a 70-year-old man, Amir Sheikh, was recovered with his hands, feet, and mouth tied inside his home in Sirajdikhan upazila of Munshiganj district on Wednesday morning.
Police arrived at the scene around 11:30 AM after being alerted by locals and found the elderly man dead in his residence in Abirpara village.
Sirajdikhan Police Station Officer-in-Charge Shahed Al Mamun confirmed the incident, stating that initial evidence points to a planned murder. The body has been sent to Munshiganj General Hospital for autopsy.
According to locals, Amir Sheikh lived alone on the first floor of his house. He had four married daughters, and his wife currently resides in Dhaka with one of them.
