Dylan Minnette Clarifies He Hasn’t Quit Acting Despite Focusing on Music

Dylan Minnette has addressed rumours about quitting acting to focus solely on his band Wallows. The 13 Reasons Why star, who last appeared in Scream and The Dropout in 2022, told the Therapuss podcast that he never intended to leave acting permanently. “I think there was a weird narrative that I quit acting, but I never felt that or said that,” said the 28-year-old. Minnette explained that while acting began to feel like “just a job,” his music hiatus has reignited his inspiration to act. He added that he would return to acting when his band takes a break. Wallows released their third album, Model, in May 2024 and an EP, More, in March this year.
