The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecasted continued rainfall throughout the day and warned of potentially heavier showers in various parts of the country over the next two days. The rain marks the early signs of the pre-monsoon season, with gusty winds and lightning also expected in regions including Rajshahi, Khulna, Chattogram, and Sylhet.
For Dhaka residents, the brief rain not only cooled the city but also lifted spirits, offering a welcome pause from the intense heat and humidity.
