Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) hosted its first international TEDx licensed event, TEDxCUET, on Sunday under the theme “Resilience: Rising Beyond Limits” at the university’s central auditorium.
The event featured RU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Saleh Hasan Naqib as a guest speaker and CUET Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiyan as the chief patron. Deputy Director of Student Welfare Md Abu Moazzem Hossain delivered the welcome speech.
Speakers included former CUET Vice-Chancellor Md Jahangir Alam, Prof. Adnan Mannan from the University of Chittagong’s Department of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, and Muhammad Imadur Rahman, CEO of Bangladesh Satellite Company Limited, who shared orientation and motivational talks.
Organised by Obaidullah Afzal, a fourth-year computer science and engineering student, with co-organiser Adil Raihan, the event featured innovative ideas, inspiring speeches, expert discussions, and networking opportunities. Over 200 CUET students participated, making it a significant milestone in promoting global ideas and resilience-focused learning on campus.
