A Dhaka court has ordered the seizure of a 10-storey building and land worth around Tk 15 crore belonging to Shafiq Siddique, husband of Sheikh Rehana, and his brother Tariq Siddique. The order was passed by Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Md. Zakir Hossain Galib on Wednesday following an ACC application. The ACC stated the seizure was necessary to prevent the transfer or misappropriation of assets during its investigation into alleged illegal wealth acquisition by the Siddique brothers.
