Commerce Adviser Sk Bashir Uddin on Sunday called on Maldivian entrepreneurs to increase investment in Bangladesh, particularly in the country’s growing construction materials sector. Highlighting Bangladesh’s capacity to produce high-quality plywood, pipes, tiles, and glass, he said these products could support Maldives’ infrastructure development.
The remarks came during a meeting with Maldives High Commissioner to Bangladesh Shiuneen Rasheed at the Secretariat, where both sides discussed strengthening bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
Bashir also emphasized the potential for Maldives to assist in developing skilled human resources in Bangladesh through training programs. High Commissioner Rasheed reaffirmed the strong bilateral ties and noted that enhanced trade would further deepen relations between the two countries.
