Chittagong Custom House Acting Commissioner Suspended for Absence

Md. Zakir Hossain, Acting Commissioner of Chittagong Custom House, has been temporarily suspended by the Ministry of Finance for being absent from duty on June 21 and June 28 despite official orders canceling the holiday on June 28. The Ministry stated that his absence disrupted important government activities. He has been suspended under Section 39(1) of the Government Services (Discipline) Rules, 2018, and directed to submit a written explanation within seven working days.
