The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has issued local cautionary signal no. 3 for maritime ports in Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla, and Payra following the development of a low-pressure area over the northwest Bay of Bengal and its surrounding regions.
The system is expected to intensify, bringing gusty or squally weather conditions to the ports, the North Bay, and adjacent coastal areas. Authorities have advised all fishing boats and trawlers in the North Bay to remain near the coast and exercise caution until further updates are provided.
