BRTC Barishal to Launch Eid-ul-Azha Special Bus Services from June 3, Advance Ticket Sales Begin May 24

The Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) Barishal depot is set to roll out special Eid-ul-Azha services starting June 3 to ensure smooth and hassle-free travel for holiday passengers.

“Currently, 33 buses are operating from the Barishal depot on various routes. This number will be increased as part of the Eid special service to accommodate the rising demand,” said Md Jamil Hossain, Manager of BRTC’s Barishal depot, on Tuesday.

To facilitate early bookings, advance ticket sales for all routes will begin on May 24.

In addition to the expanded road transport services, the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) will implement strict monitoring of passenger vessels operating from Barishal during the Eid travel period.

A BIWTA official confirmed that dedicated teams and volunteers will be deployed to oversee passenger safety and security amid the holiday rush.

Advance tickets for water transport will be available starting May 22, both online and at physical booking counters.
