Police recovered the body of Asaduzzaman Durba, a 25-year-old Computer Science and Engineering student at BRAC University, found hanging in his rented room on the third floor of a house in Merul Badda, Dhaka, early Monday.
He was discovered unconscious around 12:15 am and taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Sub-Inspector Rashed Mia confirmed that Asaduzzaman was found hanging from a ceiling fan with a towel. His body has been sent for autopsy.
Asaduzzaman, originally from Barisal, lived in Dhaka with another tenant. Police reported that his roommate found him and alerted authorities. His father is an engineer and his mother a school teacher. The reason for his death remains unknown.
