BNP Youth Wings to Hold Massive Rally in Dhaka for Youth Political Rights

The Nationalist Chhatra Dal, Jubo Dal, and Swechchhasebak Dal—youth wings of the BNP—will organize a major rally titled “Rally to Establish the Political Rights of Youth” on Wednesday, May 28, in front of the BNP central office in Nayapaltan, Dhaka. Organizers expect a record-breaking turnout of 1.5 million young participants from Dhaka, Sylhet, Faridpur, and Mymensingh.

The announcement was made at a press conference on Monday, May 26, where leaders outlined their month-long initiative to engage youth through seminars and rallies in eight major cities. Events have already been held in Chittagong, Khulna, and Bogra, with Dhaka being the final and largest gathering.

Swechchhasebak Dal President SM Jilani and Jubo Dal President Abdul Monayem Munna emphasized that the campaign goes beyond politics—aiming to involve youth in shaping Bangladesh’s future. A seminar titled “Youth’s Future Thoughts, Future Bangladesh” will be held the day before the rally.

Jubo Dal leaders criticized previous governments for partisan employment practices and pledged that the BNP would create 10 million jobs within 18 months if elected. BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman is scheduled to join the rally virtually as the chief guest, presenting the party’s vision and policy roadmap to the nation’s youth. Senior BNP leaders including Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain and Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury will also attend.
