Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP Convener Aminul Haque has strongly condemned the killing of Kamrul Ahsan Sadhan, Joint Convener of Gulshan Thana BNP, and demanded that the perpetrators be identified and brought to justice without delay. Speaking at multiple public events in Mirpur and Mohammadpur on Monday, May 26, Haque called the murder “barbaric and unacceptable,” especially in a country that, he noted, has moved beyond dictatorship since August 5.
He emphasized that it is the government’s constitutional responsibility to ensure the safety of all citizens and urged law enforcement agencies to act swiftly and transparently. Haque confirmed that BNP leadership has already spoken to authorities, who are actively investigating the motive and individuals involved in the crime.
The condemnation came during the inauguration of an inter-station football tournament and a newly constructed school building, as well as a leaflet distribution campaign in Pallabi. Numerous BNP leaders from Dhaka Metropolitan North and its affiliated units were also present at the events.
