Bangladesh Women’s Football Team Heads to Jordan for FIFA Friendlies Ahead of Asian Cup Qualifiers

The Bangladesh national women’s football team departed for Jordan on Monday to compete in two international FIFA friendly matches as part of the official FIFA Women’s International Match Window. The team will face Indonesia on May 31 and hosts Jordan on June 3—both ranked higher than Bangladesh.

These friendlies serve as crucial preparation for the upcoming AFC Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers, where Bangladesh will compete against Myanmar, Bahrain, and Turkmenistan.

Led by captain Afeida Khandaker, the squad includes 3 goalkeepers, 4 defenders, 7 midfielders, and 11 forwards. The team aims to gain valuable experience and build momentum ahead of the high-stakes continental qualifiers.
