Bangladesh U-19 national football team is setting its sights firmly on securing a spot in the SAFF U-19 Championship final, with players and coaching staff expressing unwavering determination ahead of their crucial semifinal clash scheduled for Friday.
Defender Ashikur Rahman emphasized the team’s focused mindset during Tuesday’s training session at NERIST ground in Nirjuli. “We’ve completed one training session today and have two more to go before the semifinal. We’re fully committed to our goal and will give everything to win the match—regardless of who our opponent is,” he said.
Central midfielder Samuel Raksam echoed the sentiment, stating, “Our only goal is to win the semifinal match.”
Assistant coach Abhul Hossain shared insights into the team’s preparation. “Today’s session was designed specifically with the semifinals in mind. We’re not focusing on our opponent’s tactics right now. Once we know whether we’re facing Nepal or India, we’ll adjust accordingly,” he explained, expressing confidence in his squad’s ability to overcome the semifinal hurdle.
Following a recovery day on Monday, the team resumed high-intensity training in Arunachal Pradesh’s Yupia region. The session centered on tactical drills, positioning, and team coordination as the players continue their pursuit of championship success.
With a unified approach and strong preparation, the Bangladesh U-19 side is aiming to make a decisive impact in the semifinal and edge closer to lifting the SAFF U-19 Championship trophy.
