Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud, Director General of Bangladesh Ansar and VDP, conducted a multi-day inspection tour of units in the Chittagong Hill Tracts, underscoring ongoing modernization and welfare initiatives. During his visit to the Chengi Ansar-VDP Training Centre in Khagrachhari, he attended the closing ceremony of the fourth phase of basic VDP training and commended the force’s dedication to national peace and stability.
In a townhall meeting at Jamtolee Ansar Battalion in Bandarban, the DG praised Hill Ansar and VDP members for their professionalism and service. He also reviewed the progress of “Sukhi,” a 24/7 digital health platform providing telemedicine services to Ansar personnel and their families.
The DG announced plans to expand Sukhi’s reach to general Ansar members and union-level VDPs, promoting inclusive healthcare access through digital innovation. This initiative stems from a recent partnership with Grameen Digital Healthcare Solutions. Senior officials, including Dr. Md. Saifur Rahman and district commandants, joined the visit.
