At least 94 Palestinians were killed overnight in Gaza, including 45 people who were trying to access humanitarian aid, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry. Among the dead, five were killed near US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) sites, while 40 others died waiting for aid at various locations. Amnesty International accused Israel and GHF of “militarizing” aid distribution to enforce starvation tactics, calling it part of a genocidal strategy. Israel rejected these claims as baseless. Additional Israeli airstrikes hit displaced persons’ shelters, killing 15 in the Muwasi area and 15 at a Gaza City school. Gaza’s death toll has now surpassed 57,000 since the war began in October 2023, as ceasefire negotiations remain stalled over Hamas’ demands for guarantees of a permanent end to hostilities.
