Ancelotti Confirms Brazil Move, Says Farewell to Real Madrid “No Problem”

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed he will officially take over as Brazil’s national team coach on May 26, the day after Madrid’s final La Liga match. Speaking ahead of the club’s upcoming fixture against Real Mallorca, Ancelotti stated there is “no problem” with Madrid regarding his departure and expressed full commitment to finishing the season on a high note.

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) announced Ancelotti’s appointment on Monday, despite no official statement yet from Madrid. Xabi Alonso, who recently confirmed his exit from Bayer Leverkusen, is widely tipped as Ancelotti’s likely successor.

Reflecting on his final weeks at the club, Ancelotti described his time with Real Madrid as a “spectacular adventure,” acknowledging that while this season has been challenging—with Real falling short in La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Champions League—he remains focused on ending it strongly.

The 65-year-old Italian, who has won 15 trophies during two stints at Madrid—including three Champions League titles—said, “Football, like life, is an adventure that begins and ends… I’ve had a great time, but everything in life has its end.”
