American Airlines Rolls Out New Boeing 787 Dreamliners with Flagship Suites for Winter Routes

American Airlines has announced its winter deployment plans for its new Boeing 787 Dreamliners, which feature the upgraded Flagship Suite business class. Deliveries began in May, and 30 aircraft are expected to enter service by 2029. Currently flying Chicago O’Hare to London Heathrow, the 787s will also operate Philadelphia-London flights from early August through Jan. 5, extending previously planned service. Additional deployments include daily Dallas-London flights from Oct. 26 to Jan. 5, with two daily flights from Dec. 3 to Jan. 5, and routes from Dallas to Brisbane, Auckland, and Buenos Aires. The Flagship Suite includes a sliding privacy door, chaise lounge seating, wireless charging, and extra storage. Although doors initially remained open due to certification delays, the FAA has now approved their use starting this weekend. The aircraft also features new premium economy seating configurations.
