Starting tomorrow (Tuesday, July 1), all types of General Diary (GD) services can be filed online at every police station in the Dhaka and Mymensingh ranges, Bangladesh Police announced.
This initiative, following the Chief Advisor’s directive to simplify police services, allows citizens to file GDs from home through the ‘Online GD’ app, now available on the Google Play Store. Previously, only lost and received GDs could be filed online.
Currently, online GD services operate in Sylhet and Chattogram ranges and their metropolitan police areas, with plans to expand nationwide in phases. Citizens needing assistance with registration or filing can contact the 24-hour hotline at 01320001428.
Bangladesh Police stated it remains committed to delivering fast, accessible services to people’s doorsteps across the country.
