Access to Secretariat Suspended, Public Gatherings Banned Amid Security Concerns

The Ministry of Home Affairs has suspended all visitor access to the Bangladesh Secretariat on Tuesday, citing “unavoidable circumstances,” according to a circular signed by Deputy Secretary Mohammad Abdullah Al Zabed.

Simultaneously, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has imposed a ban on all public gatherings, rallies, and demonstrations around the Secretariat and the Chief Adviser’s residence, Jamuna, in an effort to maintain law and order. Authorities have urged the public to comply with the restrictions to ensure public safety and stability in the capital.
