Khalil al-Dakran, spokesperson for Al-Aqsa Martyr Hospital, has warned that at least 60,000 children in the Gaza Strip are suffering from acute malnutrition due to the ongoing Israeli blockade and attacks. In a recent interview with Al Jazeera, al-Dakran described the situation as a severe humanitarian disaster, stating that the food crisis has reached such an extreme that children are not receiving even basic nutrition, putting their lives at grave risk.
He accused Israel of systematically starving Gaza’s children, claiming that this is not merely a blockade but a deliberate strategy to kill them by depriving them of food. Al-Dakran highlighted the absence of essentials, saying that even cartons of milk for children are no longer available in Gaza.
He further alleged that Israeli forces are deliberately targeting hospitals, leading to a near-total collapse of the healthcare system and severely limiting the ability to save lives. The worsening crisis has intensified calls for immediate humanitarian intervention to prevent widespread child deaths due to starvation and lack of medical care.
