Police seized 300 bottles of Indian liquor worth approximately Tk 6 lakh from the Jhenaigati border area in Sherpur on Saturday morning.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team launched a raid around 9:00 AM in the Rangtia area under Nalpura Union of Jhenaigati upazila.
During the operation, officers recovered the smuggled liquor from the scene.
Confirming the seizure, Jhenaigati Police Station Officer-in-Charge M. Al Amin stated that legal proceedings are currently underway regarding the incident.
