Authorities in Gopalganj conducted a major eviction drive on Thursday, removing 30 illegal structures from both sides of the main road in the Pachuria area.
The operation was led by Executive Magistrate Probir Biswas, with support from the Roads and Highways Department and the Water Development Board.
Structures demolished included permanent, semi-permanent buildings and tin-shed shops that had long occupied government land belonging to both the Roads and Highways Department and the Water Development Board. The drive aims to reclaim public land and ensure smoother road access.
